Drew Estate has created a limited-edition Liga Privada Unico to celebrate the Chinese New Year, which begins on January 22nd. CoH Cigars in Hong Kong is the exclusive retailer for this 4.5 x 54 release, the 2nd Chinese New Year exclusive crafted by Drew Estate.
The Liga Privada Unico Year of the Rabbit consists of what the brand lists as Connecticut River Valley Stalk Cut Habano capa, Mexican San Andres capote, and a combination of Nicaraguan and Brazilian tripa tobaccos. Drew Estate has shared that characteristics of this blend include “hints of cinnamon, spice, clove and cedar with toasted nuts and leather notes.”
Jonathan Drew, Founder and President of Drew Estate, writes that “rabbits are auspicious animals in the Chinese Zodiac. They are quiet, elegant, kind and responsible…they’re gentle peacemakers that are associated with the moon goddess Chang’e, who according to legend had a rabbit for a pet. To honor the Year of the Rabbit, we created a deeply elegant cigar that’s commanding with subtle nuances and layers of smooth, bountiful smoke.”
